10802_tanna.jpg (23496 bytes) BA Jessies Santana - 1985 Palomino

Sire:        Tiger Jessie JA x Jessie James

Dam:      Calhouns' Pistol x Kings Pistol x King

Tana was a wonderful asset to me.  She is a great granddaughter of Red (AQHA #204); Poco Luck; King and Little Richard (AQHA #17).

This mare has had to be put down due to a seller from Georgia,  not disclosing all information.  We were told that she was broodmare sound.  In my book broodmare sound means she can WALK!   We were informed that she was navicular.   NOT TRUE!

Turns out she had an object that did not come to the surface of the hoof, thereby rotating her coffin bone.

The sad note to this story, if we had been led down the right path, she could have been saved.

2007 buddy 81.jpg (33686 bytes) Buddy - 1988 Sorrel Gelding

Grade pony that is absolutely wonderful and great for our daughter.    He is our daughters first horse and he taught her to ride and gave her some confidence.

This guy was worth his weight in gold.

Top Notch Legacy                        1996    Black

Sire:   Colonel Legacy x Colonel Freckles

Dam:    Moon Shadow Bank x Chigger Trouble

Blackie has seen it, done it, and looking for something new.  This guy is really calm, easy to handle.  He has a superior show record too.  He has won in excess of $15,000 in team penning.  He has been used by a person learning to team rope and he is not a seasoned horse himself.  He has had reining training when younger.    He is currently being ridden by a young man, who is still learning to ride, and participating in small shows in barrels, poles and flags.      He is a show me what you want, do all horse.  He is safe to trail ride also.  I cannot say enough about this horse.

See a video of him at:

We lost Buddy in February 2010.
